It's one of those elevators that go up and down, and from side to side.

It doesn't sound like Debussy it might be Ravel.

Well to be honest it sounds a mishmash of Bach,Chopin and Debussy. My guess is its an original piece composed for that movie.

What is this song's name?
OK, first I'll put you in the picture. I've been playing piano for about 5 years now, although I stopped having lessons 2 years ago and I haven't been practicing so much recently. I sometimes play this duet when I'm at my friends house and I've somehow picked it up from other people but I've never known what it's actually called or had any sheet music of it.
It goes as follows:
The melody goes:
C, C, C B A B C D E, E, E D C D E F G, C, A G F E D C. (the comma's indicating holding the note for a bit longer).
The other person does scales to this tune as follows:
C- C E G, A- A C E, F- F A C, G- G B D etc (notes with a dash are done in left hand and held, the others are scales done in the right hand).
This might be a bit vague, but I'd really appreciate if I could put a name to the tune.
Thanks,
Dan
