Please help??
There’s a song in this video, and I need to know what its called, and who wrote it. This is a more modernized version of the song, but its in A LOT of movies, and figure skating performances… I asked everyone I know. They’ve all heard it before, but nobody knows the name.
Fast forward about halfway through the video. That’s where the highlight of the song is. If you know it, PLEASE shout it out!
Thanks in advance. Here it is:

The original is "O Fortuna" from: "Camina Burana" by Carl Orff.
It's available in many versions on CD including some cheapos. It's the first track of the work. The original may not be as loud but it's a lot more exciting. It also occurs as the closing track after Blanziflor and Helena, another bracing track!
This is generally thought to be a competent version:

I'm going to make a wild guess and say Guerre-Lieder, by Arnold Schoenberg, an Austrian composer.

Guerre lieder is not 12 tone.
I think the mystery piece might also be by Berg or Webern but with so little to go on you'd have to listen to all the 2nd Viennese school to pick it out!

If it is truly 12-tone, there are so many possibilities. I would suggest a listen to "Erwartung" by Schoenberg, and perhaps "Wozzeck" by Berg.

Can you name this song?
Hi everyone,
There is a song that has been bugging me, I don't know what the name of it is and I would really like to know!
It's the background music for a youtube video clip, the link is:

or if that doesn't work you can just go to www.youtube.com and search for 'gymnasts in poland'
I would really appreciate the name!
Thanks,
S

It's the music from the 1992 film '1492: The Conquest of Paradise' by Vangelis Papathanasiou.

The name of this gorgeous orchestral piece?
Hello, the piece I have attached was used in an episode of the comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and I know no more about it other than that it is beautiful.
I was hoping one of the forum members might know the name of the piece (and possibly the orchestra in this instance) because I feel it must be well known.
Thanking you in advance,
Regards, Jacob.

If that's not film music then its probably by Gershwin... other than that, I have no clue.
