O Fortuna - Carmina Burana (I think)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjDYLl9d4BE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O7Sp...eature=related (Begins at 1:58 (I think it's a bit more fiery))
On second thought, It may not be Carmina Burana, but it sounds like Latin text, so is it Dies Irae?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nl-wRbJoWVA
On third thought, neither sounds correct. So nevermind. :S

The music is a waltz by Johann Srauss Jr. I just can't remember the name. It is one of the more popular and frequently played waltzes that he wrote

Try 'Die Ziguener Baron" the Gypsy Baron by Johann Strauss Jr. I believe the excerpt is actually the oveerture.

It's Yoko Kanno's 'Dance of Curse'. I think it's from a Japanese television series or from a video game score...

Ok I have a question about a piece of piano music. A few years ago I remember sitting at my piano teacher's piano and saw this piece of music lying on it. I only know the first few notes to the piece but hopefully someone recognizes it.
On treble clef:
D A FAFAFAFA<-trill F E D
A
F#
D
Bass:
D A FAFAFAFA<-trill F E D
Hope thats clear

Nope. All that jargon only reminds of the scene from Amadues. But everytime someone posts in this thread with only the notes, it only makes me want to lean music more. It's so simple...no need to hunt for a clip on Google or YouTube, just type down the notes from your head. It's like elegant (and beautiful) mathematics.
Okay, back to topic. Anyone know what this tune is?

Sadly and oddly, I don't recognize the scene from Amadeus your talking about. I haven't bought the movie but I watched half of it on YouTube. I really guess I need to watch it. Of all people, I would have thought you would be able to play every instrument from here to Timbuktu! Oh well.

It's the 'Where Salieri becomes the Scribe' scene.

As a classical music aficionado, you must watch it. You needn't like it, but you must have watched it at least once. :P

Maybe I haven't advertised enough the fact that I am an excellent player of CDs.
