Many thanks

Check the YouTube link again (look at the comments). Someone has identified it. "It's Beethoven. Opus 107 No. 7 of his Variations on a Russian theme."

Default Please help

I saw this (see the link) post in another forum. I was wondering if the answer was Mozart
Symphony no. 25 k. 183, I. Allegro con brio . Please help.

Thank you.

No. It's certainly not Mozart K. 183.

Default Composer and name of this piece of music, Please ?

Hello there,

My sister asked me the other day if I knew the name/composer of a piece of music that plays on a video she saw. If someone could please be so kind to tell me what it is, for me the style matches Mozart but I am certainly no expert. Here is the link !

Thank you ever so much,

James.

Wow, the piece is absolutely amazing! The style with rapid violin parts is more like Vivaldi in my view. Vivaldi is not all about "Four Seasons", he also composed some heavier and darker pieces as well.

Somebody asked that in the wrong section. I think this piece is absolutely amazing. The rapid violin sections sound a bit like Vivaldi to me.

Question The Trout

Any final decision; Schubert or Liszt, who's responsible for "The Trout"?

So, what's the deal with some sources, crediting Liszt for the fish?

I don't know, but I'm guessing it could be Karl Jenkins, the composer whose music was used in a well known commercial for diamonds in the US and who was in a progressive jazz-rock band, Soft Machine, and now writes quite a bit of choral music.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Jenkins

If not him, maybe it IS Vivaldi, one of his sacred pieces. I can't quite make out what language it's in.
