Thanks to all those who listened to my file. I have now identified the work, which I believe to be Variations on an Old English Folk Song by Jaromir Weinberger. (Variations on the tune Underneath the Spreading Chestnut Tree or possibly Go No More A-Rushing).

Hmm .. it only sounds vaguely familiar. I'd wager it's something very modern written to sound similar to one of Vivaldi's 500+ concerti. Someone like Karl Jenkins in this video of his Palladio Allegro (also known as the diamond commercial).

It's a truly hideous orchestration of Erik Satie's Gymnopédie No.1.

Can you identify this??
I downloaded a piece by Chopin a while back titled "Polonaise" but it doesn't have the specifics of which it is. It is absolutely incredible, and I want to learn to play it. I was wondering if someone could identify it for me.

It's the "Heroic" Polonaise in A flat major op.53 no. 1. In German / Polish: As-Dur. In French: la bémol majeur.

Unknown composer, please help identify
Hi, anyone know contemporary classical music well? I think the composer is German, may be a winner of a BMW composer prize
Ignore the video (or dont, go buy a BMW), the music is what caught my attention.

Couldn't agree more!!!!
Can I be forgiven for thinking that we seem to be getting a fair amount of people registering on this forum purely and simply to find the title of some obscure, pretentious and instantly forgetable piece of "music", this query constituting the sum total of their contributions.
