Sailor's Hornpipe. I have no idea who wrote it.

[Edit: Ooops! I meant to quote Epiktet here. "Spent 1 hour recreating a classical peace... Please help identify!" Wikipedia says it's traditional, meaning it's anothor of those pieces by the prolific Anonymous]

Default Help identify this piece?

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if this forum is still active, but I really need to figure out what this piece is. Attached is me singing it:

I thought it was Chopin but it's not...I think it's piano and violin. Sorry for my ineptitude.

Hey!

I'm pretty sure you're attempting to sing the beginning of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor, Op. 23.

Let me know,

Chopinistic

Default Yes!

Thank you so much! I had an inkling it might be Tchaikovsky. You've got quite the ear, especially because I can barely sing. Thanks again!,

Does the tune featured in this commercial a piece adapted from a western classical work?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZVicxLnn6Y

The audio as such is bad, but the tune is discernible. I have been wanting to find out if this was a famous waltz or something, but I could not find a clip until now.

Default Name of this piano piece?

hi guys. i'm trying to tap into the extensive aural library of the forum experts around here.

the question is rather simple. please name the piano piece and composer of the song being played over the "techno beat".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUr_wVWcluY

i am VERY interested in learning to play this piece! my piano instructor says that this song (which has the file name "mozart_piano.mp3") is not the style of mozart. considering that the piece is not played very "musically" i.e. no changes in dynamic (ff, mezzopiano, piano) with STRICT rhythm, i suspect that this entire piece was created digitally which might make it harder to identify.

i apologize to the purists who think that a song like this that is put to a "techno beat" is garbage and an insult to the original composer. i do agree.

thanks guys!

The only other information I know about this piece is that it was composed by Swedish composer Johan Emanuel Jonasson
