Default How did you find this forum?

There has been a significant increase in new members and posts lately which is great! Thus, it would be very helpful to know more more about how you found this site... was it through a search engine (if so which one, and do you remember what you were searching for?), word of mouth, etc. - And what made you decide to join?

You don't have to tell more than you like of course, but any details you provide will help me improving and promoting the forum now and in the future.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Frederik

Frederik,

I googled on "classical music forum" and Talk Classical was one of the first choices. I read through some of the threads, concluded it seemed a friendly forum and decided to join.
Simple as that!

I did exactly as Lark Ascending, I googled 'classical music forum'. This forum was the first and, in my opinion, best.

I was pleasantly surprised, if not a little daunted, by the expertise of the members here. They blind me with their knowledge, but they aren't condescending or judgemental of members who simply enjoy listening to beautiful music.

Well, so far it seems that most new members are actively looking for a classical music forum. That's interesting to know. Of course this survey is not in any way scientific, but it does give sort of an impression. It also tells me that there is room for further optimizing the search results for individual threads, and not just the main page. cmb's response further tells me that the adwords campaign I'm running, though somewhat expensive, is indeed helpful.

I appreciate the responses so far, and do keep them coming

Regards,
Frederik

Topaz and I were short-time members at another forum, where discussion in the Classical section was rather... limited.

We both found this forum, more or less around the same time. I found it simply through googles search engine, looking for "Classical Music forum" or something.

How bout you, Topaz?

Kurki

It's funny you should ask. Following my huge win on the Euro National Lottery, I was looking on the internet for a Porsche dealer, but finished up on here by mistake. It seemed like a fun place and I haven't looked back. It changed my life and I am now a complete person, totally reformed and utterly dedicated to music.

If you think that sounds like complete rubbish, you'd be right. If I won the Lottery you wouldn't see me for dust. I'd be off in my Porsche whizzing down to Monte Carlo right now.

Still, I can dream can't I?

And I'll be right behind... well, more like far behind both of you in my Skoda.

Simply clever.

Kurkikohtaus: Monte Carlo it is then. You bring your Acer and Andante can bring his Aston Martin DB9 and I'll bring a few CDs. We'll have a flutter on the Casino. Andante can pay!

Anybody else wanna come too?
