Meaghan you might like this, there's a Medtner piece that I believe is predominantly dorian mode, but it is notated as being in a minor, still, the the sixth is raised as in Dorian mode to minor. I had to look this up. Hopefully I'm right, because I've been itching to find a good way to illustrate this about this piece.
