These box sets have yet to show up on Amazon.com (in the US). I'd certainly be interested in the Wagner and perhaps the Richard Strauss set. I can live without notes and libretto as I already have these in other recordings. Now if only they'd do something similar with Keilberth.

i'm betting its his 2nd Meistersinger which was in his Solti Edition set. its marginally better overall.
What a fantastic box set though. too bad i already have them all.

been listening alot to Kleibers Tristan on DGG. i really like it alot.
no side breaks during the acts makes a huge positive.

Amazon uk are listing it at £81.83 currently, which is a great price - a shame I also have them all (I paid more than that for a 2nd hand Tristan)
relistened to the Barenboim ring cds. Does not hold up well. bad tempi, out of control brass and irritating recording problems/drop outs. and some bad singing.
think i'll sell 'em.
I been watching the new remastered Barenboim Ring DVDs and like them less and less as time goes on, despite old age the Levine and Boulez hold up better on DVD for me, too many sterile empty stage sets and Wotan does not appeal to me with silly one lens sunglasses......started strong with the opening Rheingold maidens frolicing in the laser mist, that was impressive, also too many people with red hair in this production
The new Mehta Ring blu ray despite some silliness and less than apealing singers/costumes is very compelling visually with some well thought out abstract visuals
Perhaps the current MET Ring if released on blu ray will be my reference to date......welcome to the machine

just listened to Solti's Parsifal twice. it gets no better than this.
full, warm, clear recording. The best singing of all studio sets.
and Solti paces just right.
better singers, recording than Karajan.
much better singers recording than Kubelik.
barenboim is out of the running forme with a recording with a far too exagerated dynamic range.
the Vienna phil play like gods on the Solti too.
If I was foolish enough to buy that Solti 36cd boxset it would be because I don't have his Parsifal and Tristan

Some criticisms I have of Solti conducting Wagner, maybe he does this with all composers;
He emphasises the moment too much and sacrifices the long line. This is achieved by exaggerating dynamic and tempo changes. He also balances the brass far too loudly for my tastes.
This works in some operas I feel, like Tannhauser, but certainly not in Parsifal. Give me Kubelick any day.
