    Default Greetings all!

    Gosh, I'm useless at introduction threads...

    I stumbled across this website, and it looked like there was a really good community here, so I signed up. My main interests are reading and writing, though music plays a major part in my life. I only really started listening to it about three years ago, having come from a totally unmusical background, so I constantly feel like I'm playing catch-up - but it does mean that I'm always on the lookout for suggestions and recommendations from more experienced people!

    Broadly speaking, Romantic music is my favourite area - it was Chopin who first got me into music - though I like stuff from all periods. My musical trinity comprises of Wagner, Mozart and Beethoven, with Wagner the first among equals.

    I'm looking forward to diving in!

    Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! I've been browsing around the forums, and really enjoying myself - it really is a very active forum.

    ...and I've never even heard of Ligeti, but I'll certainly give him a whirl!
