    In my opinion there is no set way to listen to classical music. Either it evokes a memorable and enjoyable response , or it does not. Either in engages the Intellect or emotions or it leaves you cold. One can analyse it, if one knows enough about music theory, or one can simply listen..."you know how to listen dont you Steve...?

    Can you say Threnody is enjoyable? It is also designed to leave you cold - almost. It is memorable, but not in any detail.
