Another "minor sixthy" piece, at least in the beginning, is Beethoven's Tempest Sonata, where the opening gesture C# E A spans a minor sixth.
Waltz in C-sharp minor has got to be the first and loveliest one I could think of! That is my favorite waltz of his, it's so mischievous to me, yet the major section is so sweet too. I also think of Across the Stars, Padmé and Anakin's Theme, from Star Wars, which starts on one as well, played in the oboe solo. It's such a beautiful theme, and no surprise that it's Williams. I will check out Beethoven's Tempest Sonata, thanks for the recommendation.

"I never found a "bad Scriabin" and I think I know all his works quite well, he is really a favorite of mine."

Zingara62, you can't go wrong with Scriabin. Welcome.
