The first question is a bit broad and probably hard to answer. We can edit polls but not everything about polls. We can edit the title, the options, the number of votes, and whether votes are public. If there is something specific you would like us to do, you can PM us.

Yes, but it's very unlikely there would be a good reason to do that.

We have done a total reset of those counters ... BUT ... only when the OP asked us to ... AND ... ONLY because additional items were added to the original poll.

Other than the single situation I have mentioned there is no reason for us to alter those statistics.
Our own personal ethics just won't allow that to happen and it serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever.

Moderators mostly follow up on reported postings, merge posts, move posts & threads, and generally keep the peace among our members. They can also issue warnings and infractions. Moderators are generally assigned to certain forum areas.

There is no application process to be a staff member on TC.

All staff positions are appointed from within the ranks. Myself being an exception in that I was already an Assistant Administrator on our sister forum, MIMF for several years before coming to TC.

I took it to mean you can skew the results of the number of votes as happens in some political elections or so we are told, but that is not what was intended.............. is it?

No, we don't "skew" the poll votes. There is no reason to do so ...

In my county there is no possible way for voting results to be skewed ... it's a totally closed system ... a stand alone system that is not connected to the internet in any manner. There has never been a skewing of vote tallies in our county ... ever!!
