    Question Help identify piano MIDI

This midi file has been driving me crazy for several days. I downloaded it as part of a web template (background sound) and I converted it to MP3 so it's easier to embed. It's a very familiar piece and I know I have it on a CD but go figure which one it is from a collection of about 200 Baroque CDs.

I suspect it's Mozart but I'm not sure. I even played it on my iPod yesterday for the conductor of a Baroque classical music orchestra in NYC and even he wasn't able to identify it. It was after the concert so maybe he was just tired

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might kick yourself. It just sounds like the final movement of "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" Rondo Allegro to me.

    This version is vastly faster.

If it's not that, it's at least quoting it.

[or it could be what Scott said ^ ]

Ach, you new these baroque types: they only know baroque. Good at what they do though. I wish every period had the same fanatics. Well, I guess the romanticism has most musicians as it's proponents.

Thumbs up Entire egg crate on my face ...

Now I am really MORTIFIED - MORTIFIED - MORTIFIED - Eine Kleine Nacht Musik is my ringtone for my husband - though it's the 1st movemnet. I am obviously brain dead this week probably from too much code (I'm a programmer).

Thank you Scott, Rasa and Weston - you are the best.

I wouldn't fire the conductor - it must have been the 3 glasses of wine he downed after the concert - this orchestra plays mostly on original instruments and the concert this week was Mozart PC No27 on a piano forte with the original inverted Black & White keys. Most bizarre looking and probably difficult to play.

Again, thank you all so much. And yes, we are Baroque fanatics and I think I know why - in other words it's a type of personality based on my assessment of the years of people who are Baroque nuts and those who embrace the Romantics. But that's for another post
