Lately, I started posting and NOBODY answered. Like...what kind of music to you listen more often...or how many Russians do you know. Everybody ignores my messages...There is any reason?

I am a bit sad and disappointed. Please write me in order to tell me if you have an idea in mind.

    Thanking you in advance

    Best,

Thanks for the invite! Your blogsite is very very fun to noodle around in and I will be joining and trying to take advantage of your podcasts and very informative blog. I'm looking for an avatar as I do not wish my ugly mug to muck up your site :))))

Was just reading your stuff...did I ever tell you how much I like your background? Heh,...you probably already knew that, though. Great stuff, señor. Always a pleasure reading your words.

just finished hearing the first movt. of that sanderling recording of mahler 9. i liked it, not too top-heavy "on steroids" emotion. guess i'm more of a "classicist" than a "romantic" in some ways, no surprise, since i really like chamber music. now listening to karajan's treatment of the same first movt., & it does appear to be fully on steroids. so sanderling gets my vote (as well as walter)...

thanks a lot, I'm about to go on youtube now & listen to something conducted by maestro sanderling. i am getting into mahler 9 now, i've got bruno walter's 1938 account, but i'm also scrounging around youtube to listen to other recordings, esp. more modern with better sound (although in terms of interpretation, which is more important generally to me than sound, maestro walter's recording is very much to my taste, not overindulgent or "sexing up" emotion or on steroids, i like his restraint & coolness. catch ya later, sid...
