eorrific, I love just about anything the DBQ put out, but I especially like their Time Out , Time In and Time in Outer Space works, where they are really doing quite amazing stuff with weird--at least for those days--time signatures. Also, their Live at Carnegie Hall album is a knockout!
What albums of theirs "float your boat".
p.s. I am honored to accept your offer of friendship; Thanks so much for asking me!

    Best Regards,
    Steve

    Hi eorrific
    Thanks for the message.
Don Carlos grows on you. The more you listen to it, the more you like it. I have 6 versions by the last count :). What you are looking for is in the 1992 Theatre Du Chatelet production of the original 5 acts French version conducted by Antonio Pappano; detail can be found in the link http://www.kultur.com/Don-Carlos-p/d2031.htm. It is a very long video, takes 3 hours and 31 minutes playing time
    All the best
