Hello! I don't get around too much as I've been doing more reading and swimming in my free time these days. I do miss the good discussion but the discussion often compels me to a new music purchase! We are saving for a family trip next spring. So around I frequently but not gone!! Thanks for thinking if me :)

I'm so glad she's much better now. 'playing music loud and not doing what she's told' means everything's normal... just let her enjoy! :)

    Hi MG:

    Sure!
    I have 3 favorites:
Jean-Guihen Queyras: baroque cello, but steel strings and modern tuning-brilliant, but scarce embellishments of repeated sections. Fantastic playing!
Ophélie Gaillard: Baroque cello, gut strings, HIP tunings. Liberal ornamentation of repeats. Excellent too!
Yo-Yo Ma-Second version-"Inspired by Bach"-modern performances; no embellishments of repeats but highly personal and moving. Very satisfying!

I have a lot of fun with "Incomprehensible Occurrences"; "Stupid thread Ideas" and the one with the bad album covers.

Thanks for the compliments! I'm not as serious as some. Life's too short!

    magnetic ghost

spent too long considering Simpson and in the end Decided on complete Mozart symphonies-Pinnock-it has been too long that I have been listening to individual recordings of these works-so I suppose you could argue that I erred on the side of caution-will investigate Rubbra though

    thanks for the enquiry

Your CPR comment made I chuckle. I'm in healthcare too, what do you do?
