New member chiming in. I'm a pianist/recording artist originally from NYC transplanted to CA. Graduated the NYC HS of Performing Arts, Oberlin Conservatory, and then acquired a Master's from NYU.
I have special affinity for the works of Scarlatti and have recorded 29 of his sonatas or essercizi alongside compositions by Schubert and Chopin. My CDs are at www.cdbaby.com/cd/shirleyk samples of all tracks (2 different albums)
The California area where I live in the Central Valley is not a particular hub of classical music activity so I make trips to the Bay area for cultural nourishment.
