    Default Hello

    Hello from Ohio!

I have listened to and studied classical music for about 5 years now. I only do it as a hobby however, I'm fairly talented for my age.

My instrument of choice is Saxophone of all flavors and I might start learning Bassoon as well.

My favorite composers are Beethoven, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky. I also enjoy Dvorak and several others. Most of what I listen to is saxophone literature.

    Welcome to Talk Classical!

I would have expected that Jacques Ibert would be one of your favorite composers as well (not that there's anything wrong with your choices, they are indeed great!). Anyhow, I imagine his »Concertino da Camera« is a work of your liking?

I hope you will have a great time here, and will be looking forward to see you around.

    Kind regards,
    Frederik

Concertino da Camera is hands down my favorite concerto ever composed. It is a piece I am going to begin studying it as soon as I meet with my teacher again. We're taking a week off since I just finished contest with the Creston Sonata. I am also familiar with a few of his other pieces, which are too my liking, however, I am largely unfamiliar with his works.
