    Here is my very new upload on YouTube, an aria that most of you probably count among your favourites performed by great singer whose interpretation - I'm sure - you didn't hear yet. But it's worth of hearing, actually I'm surprised how good he sounds even in repertoire like this where competition is as big as it gets:

    Great interview with Dima with subtitles. Haven't watched all of it yet but there's a sad part about his childhood.

    Did I put it here before? I think not, Onegin as great as Hvorostovsky's or even better because of subtle nuances (which is much said but without exaggeration):

    Yes, it's TV clip and the singer is Andrzej Hiolski, as you can read in opening titles. The girl is just a mute actress.

    out of curiosity, on the composer, I click on this opera video... Faust by Louis Spohr.... though this is not exactly what I was thinking about.


    the overture is ok
