    Default Hi! Rescon here!

    Hey!

I've been playing piano for ten years, but I've never actually searched online about piano. Maybe it's just me, but I think I harbored some bias towards the internet, because I didn't think it had much useful information about a subject so... artistic and beautiful. But then, come a year ago, I discovered the joys of learning about classical music and the piano - online! Against my own prejudice, yes, and to my surprise, I discovered TONS of helpful information. So, I just want to say, now that I've come around, that this is my first classical music forum that I've registered on. The atmosphere here seems welcoming and the people, after reading several posts, sound awesome because they clearly feel deep emotional attachment to classical music, something which I, sadly, am unable to feel to that extent, but I want to learn (if it's possible).

Ok, well that was a long rant.
I shall end my newbie message here. =)

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I'm the webmaster of an up and coming site, called Resonance Connection, that teaches others step-by-step basics of music theory so that they can build upon that knowledge to read music and play piano. I got the idea after a friend told me that he wanted to learn piano, but couldn't sacrifice time or money to go to private lessons. Because he had heard me play, he asked me for tips about piano and where to find teachers. And then, one thing led to another, and so....... Resonance Connection began. It's a fairly young site, still many things to improve on it, but the tutorials are complete and there's lots of things to learn for the beginner. I'm still waiting for the search engines to list it, as I've just submitted it this week. Hopefully, you'll find it useful. Please tell me what you think and how I can improve!

    Thanks!
