    Hello everyone!

My name is ChamberNut. I'm 32 years old, from Winnipeg, Canada and have been a huge fan of classical music for about the last 3 years.

I'm looking forward to looking through the threads and joining in on some classical music discussions.

Music from movies really piqued my interest. Especially Stanley Kubrick's movies. I really enjoyed the music he used in his movies, from Barry Lyndon, Eyes Wide Shut, A Clockwork Orange and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I then bought a CD of Beethoven's 9th symphony, and that was that. I immediately became a fan and have since built up a good size classical CD library.

I'm also interested in the history, and have read a Beethoven biography, and now am currently reading a Mozart biography.

I look forward to looking through the topics on the talkclassical board. Thanks for the welcome Frederik!

There is a lot to read. Don't overlook the opportunities to vote on favourite symphonies, piano concertos, etc.

When you are ready I look forward to a few exchanges on chamber music, which is one of main interests. I'm pretty sure Hexameron will want to join in too, plus a few others.

Chamber music has come to be my particular favorite genre of classical, although I definitely enjoy orchestral/symphonic works as well.

What is your particular favorite form of chamber music, ChamberNut? String Quartets, Piano Quartets, Quintets etc?

    Hex,

In particular, I seem to especially enjoy String Quartets and Piano Trios.
