    Default Dada da da...

Now that I have your attention, let me introduce myself.

I'm Navneeth from Chennai (the city that went by the name Madras till about 10 years ago), India. I came across this forum just an hour or so ago. The place looked good, so I signed up immediately. The pleasure gained by hearing bits and pieces of western classical* on TV since childhood (especially Viennese Classical) finally took over me, and I became hooked - this was just under a year ago. My primary source of music are internet radio stations, but I've built up a modest, but steadily growing, collection of 12 albums! (Too modest, some might say )

I love listening to music of the Classical Masters: Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, and the deaf guy (what's his name, btw? ). I also love Tchaikovsky and Dvorak. In the initial stages, though, I used to listen more or less exclusively to Baroque music. I still love listening to Bach, Handel, Vivaldi et. al., but my tastes may have shifted slightly.

My other interests include physics, mathematics, astronomy (don't have a good telescope, yet ), Formula 1 (the only sport I care about these days), and computers to some extent (I consider installing Linux on my home computer all on my own, i.e. without anyone physically next to me, my greatest achievement ).

I hope to enjoy spending time on this board.

    Welcome aboard Opus67!

Is Opus67 meaning to represent Beethoven's 5th Symphony?

No, it's gotta be Brahms's String Quartet in B flat major

    Hi Topaz,
It's nice to see someone from my neck of the woods.

To ChamberNut and Hexameron: Stop joking, guys! It's Shostakovich's 2nd piano trio.

    Regards,
    Navneeth
