A new unused and handmade 15 ¾” viola, precisely designed and crafted by luthier Juan Sandoval.

The viola was made from carefully selected and hand-prepared materials during 2009 -2010. It has been professionally insurance appraised and checked for authenticity. Handmade of solid, slow-dried woods. Sandoval does not use laminated woods. Described as a renaissance style viola with modern inlay.

Created by a luthier who is also a professional musician, this viola is intended for the professional viola player or aspiring university level student. The general tone is strong and balanced, with a lovely, warm and deep sound. It carries all ranges well. This instrument is beautiful to play and to hold, and has been set up ready for immediate play.

Sandoval is a former student and apprentice of well renowned violin/viola maker Peter Mach, of Aylmar Quebec.
