I saw that Norma in the cinema. Very good staging, DiDonato was amazing, and Radvanovsky more than adequate.

I hope they publish the Devereux with Radvanovsky and Garanca (either Erato or DGG).

I got to mark one thing off my Bucket List when I saw the Met opening-night premiere of this back in 2017. I wasn't dressed up--just nice church clothes--but I got considerable applause from those around by singing the National Anthem along with all the other attendees in my normal healthy baritone voice (it was a good key too, B-flat). Oh, and the Norma was fantastic too although I personally enjoyed Radvanovsky more than DiDonato ... Adalgisa is not really her cup of tea.

    Kind regards,

    George

Not to be outdone by Opus Arte, Decca will release their own Madama Butterfly in November/December:

I don't know if this was posted before, but it looks like a fascinating opera.

Harteros was awesome with Kaufmann in Lohengrin. I may have to get this Tosca.

That title got me interested but apparently it's not about Arminius... why isn't there an opera about him and that time he kicked some serious Roman ****? It could be wonderfully gothic/bloody.
