Theatre, a forum for public debate, an arena for cathartic spectacle and somewhere for vain bitchy people to show off in front of big crowds!

Ana Durlovsky is fantastic in La Sonnambula on DVD, so this could be quite a wonderful video. I am on Amazon email notification for when it becomes available, but I think I should go brick and mortar and order if from Dearborn Music.

Here is a review. And here it is translated to English roughly by Google.

Well, you'd better have a good listen to Alexandrs Antonenko, whose yelling just about destroyed the recent Live from the Met Aïda for me. I can't imagine him singing "O dolci mani" or similar passages with anything remotely resembling tenderness. Yes, Harteros is awesome.

    Kind regards,

    George

I have mine on order at Dearborn Music. If I am going to pay full price I may as well support my local brick and mortar store. Here is a video from the performance:

    Default Itunes

I live in a country where DVDs are difficult to come by so usually get stuff on iTunes these days. Why are there so few opera films or movies on there? Such a shame as so convenient to keep on iPad or Apple TV.

I think it has something to do with copyrights.
