I have to get this one. watched the videos on Prestoclassical and it promises to be one of the best Traviatas out there. Jaho's voice is wonderful. The death bed scene is excellent with very realistic choking/coughing. I can hardly wait for this one! It is the third one with the same set (Fleming and Gheorghiu, both of which have two on DVD). I called my local brick and mortar store and they can't seem to get it on order for me, so I guess will go with Amazon or Presto. Also, there is an earlier production (Think 2014) of this opera with Jaho.

If I made trench coats, opera productions over the last few decades would have made me rich.

    Just sayin'.

I have it on a pile and can get in to it, don't ask me why.

Oh, I have a lot of good ones on the unwatched pile. Sometimes it is a mood for a particular opera, but in most cases, I think if you were to randomly grab one and start watching, you would not regret it. After all, most of that pile is stuff we bought for a purpose. Often my pile sits while I watch the latest one that I just picked up. But then there is a great comfort in the pile because without it we might get anxiety over not having an unwatched opera to watch.

This came out last year but I can't find either on Amazon. Is it not released in the USA? More info here. Strange cover, looks like the Dutchman is inside a washing machine!
