Ummm, I don't need any more Fidelio sets, but on the other hand I need them all!

You and I are so alike in that regard. I'll be interested to see how this goes. Janowski can be either a total bore or thrilling for me. I hope he takes the tempos on the faster side, but I'm not counting on it.

Also omitted from the recent Wagner at the Met CD set. Are we seeing the start of a trend here?

But of course Parsifal is the only one that Opus Arte doesn't already have in a Bayreuth video.

Partial credits for the new box, as given on Opus Arte's website:

    DIE MEISTERSINGER (2008)

    Hans Sachs - Franz Hawlata

    Veit Pogner - Artur Korn

    Sixtus Beckmesser - Michael Volle

Walther von Stolzing - Klaus Florian Vogt

    Director - Tilo Steffens

    Conductor - Sebastian Weigle

    DIE WALKÜRE (2010)

    Wotan - Albert Dohmen

    Sieglinde - Edith Haller

    Brünnhilde - Linda Watson

    Director - Tankred Dorst

    Conductor - Christian Thielemann

    DER FLIEGENDE HOLLANDER (2013)

    Der Holländer - Samuel Youn

    Daland - Franz-Josef Selig

    Senta - Ricarda Merbeth

    Director - Jan Philipp Gloger

    Conductor - Christian Thielemann

    LOHENGRIN (2011)

    König Heinrich - Georg Zeppenfeld

    Lohengrin - Klaus Florian Vogt

Elsa of Brabant - Annette Dasch

    Director - Hans Neuenfels

    Conductor - Andris Nelsons

    TANNHÄUSER (2014)

    Hermann - Kwangchul Youn

    Tannhäuser - Torsten Kerl

Wolfram von Eschenbach - Markus Eiche

Walther von der Vogelweide - Lothar Odinius

    TRISTAN UND ISOLDE (2009)

    Tristan - Robert Dean Smith

    Isolde - Iréne Theorin

    Conductor - Peter Schneider

    Director - Christoph Marthaler

Seems to be some discrepancy between the various websites as to how much of the Ring is included.

Ask Opus Arte, perhaps they having the answer.
