    Default My posts keep disappearing

In the last few days I've had three posts mysteriously disappear off the forum - they are there in the evening and next day they have vanished. Any ideas?

She was getting so used to queer things happening. While she was looking at the place where it had been, it suddenly appeared again.

`By-the-bye, what became of the discussion?' said the Cat. `I'd nearly forgotten to ask.'

`It turned into a argument,' Vesteralice quietly said, just as if it had come back in a natural way.

`I thought it would,' said the Cat, and vanished again.

Have you been uncharacteristically offensive in them?

Physical objects and physical events are shadows of their ideal or perfect forms, and exist only to the extent that they instantiate the perfect versions of themselves. Just as shadows are temporary, inconsequential epiphenomena produced by physical objects, physical objects are themselves fleeting phenomena caused by more substantial causes, the ideals of which they are mere instances.

On your profile page, left hand column, there's a link to all your posts, listed last first. The missing posts in there?
I spent a fortune on deodorant before I realized that people don't like me anyway.

Uh-oh. Surreptitious editing. This may be a case for the Green Hornet. Clearly the Krummhorn Krowd are implicated.

Essentialism is such a terrible philosophy.

I thought I saw the resemblance. This one is "horny" as well (Anna must have been in the room).

This is how Aramis reassures himself whenever he loses his cape.

Maybe your computer is reading the web page stored on your hard drive? Have you tried hitting the reload button? I know that's a bit far fetched.

    Hi Natalie,
I've extensively checked the database for deleted threads/posts and did not find any there posted by you. Your master profile also indicates the exact same post count (as of this writing 2,950).

Your plight is most perplexing ... and deserves checking in to. If you know what forum area this happened in and the approximate dates when they disappeared, that would help in my search efforts. You may PM me with that info if you like.

Generally, if a thread or post is removed, it can only be "soft-deleted", meaning it then can only be seen then by forum staff and can be 'recovered' and made public again at any time.

Frederik Magle and myself are the only ones that have the power to "hard delete", that is, completely wipe a thread/post from the servers, something that we very rarely have the need to do.
