Default Please help me identify this classical piece played during Christmas!

Heard this on KVIL 103.7 in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX back in the late 80's during their month long Christmas playlist, anybody have any idea what it might?

Well, imho it's not a xmas piece or tune. Doesn't have that 'xmassy' feeling or lilt.

Has lots of build up intros that would do nicely in front of Greensleeves though ..
    Other than that, I haven't a clue.

In the meantime while waiting for other replies, why not have a look around the forum and join in any of the plethora of discussions. You're surely to find something of interest.

Lovely piece, I'd like to know what it is myself. Some of the harmonic shifts remind me of Honegger, but I wonder if it might be by a jazz or film music composer. Also tough trying to work out what kind of piece it is exactly - could it be a concerto for flute and guitar?
