    Default Harp Help

    Hi,

I wonder if anyone recognises the attached piece.

I have it on a very old cassette from about 30 years ago. I can't remember anything about it.

    Thank you.

Sounds a lot like a typical Bourrée. I haven't been able to find it so far, but I think lot of solo harp music is arrangements of other works, which makes searching a little harder.

Wow, I cannot find this thing. The closest I've gotten is the Aria from Handel's Keyboard Suite in G Major HWV411. It starts out with basically the same melodic idea, but the rest of the piece isn't similar. I think I'm gonna have to let someone else figure this one out..

Maybe it's an arrangement of this work by Bach. I know it's a huge stretch, and only the beginning even sounds similar but it's all I could come up with.

Norse, thank you very much for trying.

BlazeGlory: yes I see what you mean and thank you very much. Now you've put this in my mind it does sound Bach-like.
