Default Earn £25 or $50 to give us your opinions on BooseyRadio.com

Here at Boosey & Hawkes, we've set up a new internet-only classical music radio station: BooseyRadio

We need your help to make BooseyRadio the best site it can be by taking part in a short telephone interview, and in return we'll give you £25 (or $50) in music vouchers to use at your leisure! If you are interested, send an email to radio@boosey.com telling us a little bit about yourself, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

In the meantime, please feel free to check out the site in its current glory at www.booseyradio.com or for more information visit either our bebo: www.bebo.com/booseyradio or myspace: www.myspace.com/booseyradio

    Thanks everyone,

    ---The BooseyRadio Team---

Not in the mood to do a telephone interview, but I love the layout of the site. You can pick what you wish to listen to on the radio, although from what I've heard it's just excerpts. You can delve even deeper into classical music and choose your own genre. I tend to float towards the enthusiastic and jubilant pieces so this one fits me perfectly. Wish it was free, then it would be a great place to go to listen to my classical music. Oh well...

Very nice site- I like the idea of thematic playlists. MUCH easier to use than a lot of other internet radio "stations".
Take a look at the Bandit's blog, Americana Avenue.

Smile New classical music internet radio station

I've just come across this website from Boosey & Hawkes:

    www.booseyradio.com

No adverts and no chat! Cool interface lets you choose music by theme or composer.

They advertised that here a few weeks ago. You can take a survey or something another and get some money I think. The songs repeat themselves so you have a limited selection. They also encourage you to buy all of them.

Hi Rachovsky - I think it is free... I think you just pay to download tracks if you want to keep them permanently but there's no charge for just listening to the radio...

Yeah but the bad thing is, the pieces all repeat. Their in the same order.

Not to mention incomplete selections ... I was listening to Bach BWV 565 (organ) and the final chord of the Toccata got shopped off before the player released the chord ... expecting the piece to continue on with the Fugue, which it didn't, so it was even more disappointing.

From what I can see, the pieces are just snippets of larger works ... an enticement to give you a 'taste' of a work in hopes that one will purchase it from their site. Certainly not 'streaming' radio, imho.

Well I get my Internet music from RECIVA so many stations to choose from and it is free, B&H may get better as time passes, but I suspect it is there to sell music to you. I must add that I have given up d/l music as the results have been very poor audio, so I just listen from a host of different stations from around the world.
