Default More Music Than You Can Shake A Stick At

I realise that the internet savvy members will probably already know about this but for the rest, try this link https://www.reciva.com/index.php?Ite...tent&task=view for about 8000 + radio stations, of all genres but a heck of a lot of music and it is free, you do need various players installed but being music lovers I bet you have them already.
You do need to be on broad band, have a listen and post your comments, please. A….

Or you could go to CoCoA and d/l 10,000+ classical MP3s.

    Legal/Free.

When IMSLP comes back up, it will be a nice accompanying site.

    Andante,

IMSLP was a site where Public Domain music scores were available for perusing or download. It got taken down by its owner after some disputes about copyright laws supposedly being violated in Austria and/or Canada.

The current status of IMSLP can be found here. It is hopeful that this site will be again operational about June of this year.

It must be a Germanic character trait, 3 yrs ago BMW threatened our small Car Club of only 60 or so members with legal action just because we wanted to be stand alone club and not come under BMWCC control, but in our case the publicity would have done them more harm than it was worth.
I can see that the internet changes all aspects of publishing and copy right, the big boys don’t like it. I also had a look at the CoCoa site and whereas it is a source of free music downloads, the Reciva site provides free live radio stations and another useful site for stations is Mikes radio world http://www.mikesradioworld.com/ These are of great help to people like myself that are not covered by good radio reception.

All the recordings are PD. Some pieces (such as Shosta) being PD is unlikely. I have emailed them, but they haven't replied. But any piece by a composer who died 75 years ago is PD - such as Beethoven, Wagner, Mahler, Mozart etc. etc.

I am an Admin of IMSLP, and there were no laws violated.

With regard to what Andante said, and in relation to IMSLP; US publishers had no problem with IMSLP even though they were in the same position as EU publishers. Two years ago EU publishers discussed mass suing places like IMSLP, whereas US publishers inquired as to why IMSLP was down.
