Thread: H&B Recordings Direct

I am new too classical music and a friend of mine sent me a link too a classical music website and I wanted too know if anyone has ever ordered from www.hbdirect.com ? he says there one of the best places too get classical music. He said they can be a little slow too get some more rare recordings but overall he has his order in less than 2 weeks. Just wanted too know if anyone else had a opinion on them before I place a order.

as my friend told me they were very friendly. I ended up calling them up because one of the CDs I wanted to order I couldn't find so I called them up and the Woman I talked too was able to find it very quickly and was very helpful. I will update when I receive the order.

HB Direct is very good; I get most of my classical cd's (which is the only kind of cd's I collect) from www.archivmusic.com, which is also very good, and very fast. They have a huge inventory and I have never had any problem, or defective cd, or anything of that kind from Archiv. Somewhat to my surprise, I recently learned that Barnes & Noble also has a lot of classical cd's for sale and is also reliable, though it is a little tricky to get used to using their somewhat confusing website. Archiv is considerably easier to use, but B&N sometimes has a slightly lower price for a given cd than Archiv does.
