My guess is it's a reduction (simplified version) of Tambourin Chinois by a great early 20th century violinist named Fritz Kreisler.

^^^^^^ that's what I think also. It sounds similar but not identical. I have the music in front of me and I could not find the exact place they were playing, so perhaps a simplified version.
