    Not from EMI.......

But I have mentioned before the wonderful red Membran label boxset has key live recordings including the MacBeth and Ana Bolena, plus the internal packaging if far better than old EMI boxset

There is also two cheapo 14 CD live boxsets, but they tragically do not have MacBeth in either one!

    Why not EMI/Warner DA?

Just going by past history, although EMI has issued random assortment of individual live opera performances they have never been included in any boxset by EMI........EMI does have a collection of live recitals in a boxset, but not live operas.

I know, it's weird. Seems a live box is a no brainer.

I only recently stumbled upon the news of this soon to be released set. It now joins Keilberth's Der Ring des Nibelungen as one of two Holy Grails.
Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.

Art is never chaste. It ought to be forbidden to ignorant innocents, never allowed into contact with
those not sufficiently prepared. Yes, art is dangerous. Where it is chaste, it is not art.

Headphone Hermit- ...that's more than a pound a day I need to save up before Chistmas ..... actually, put that way, it isn't too expensive - I spend more than that on lukewarm coffee
    -- Yes, just that.

Marchallin Blair- If the vintage, re-engineered, high-Renaissance art of Maria Callas isn't worth the opportunity cost of a daily cup of coffee to people, then. . . Well, propriety forbids me from saying.

Hmmm... I could cut back on my beer budget. No more British stouts, German Hefeweizen, or Belgian Trappist Ales. Nope... nothing but Budweiser. Then again, no. I'd be better off drinking Kool-Aid spiked with Everclear. Or I could cut back on my art supplies. No. Can't do that either. I know. This year I simply shall refuse to subsidize my public school's art budget (which has been $0 for 10+ years) by purchasing all the supplies myself. Nothing but pencil on xerox paper for you kids this year!

Keilberth's Ring isn't a Bridge Too Farfetched. The high drama abounds. Well worth the unending quest, Percival.

If the sample is decent quality (320 mp3) and decent length and the remaster really is better and you have a good computer sound system......then yes I think the difference will be heard in a sample

The extreme example is Pristine Classic XR remaster samples, a very quick listen is all you usually need to know it is a vast improvement over any previous CD release
