La Regina deserves all the recognition, she was a great great singer with her own elegant style.
Where did you find that and what is the price.......

This 15 CD set of all studio Tebaldi opera recordings is really great, all performances are top shelf with the very best imaginable cast, most people don't realize this is a collection of prime Tebaldi operas.......

This is a real treat featuring extended segments from young Renata's early career, she is really very dramatic in many of these that will surprise many people, I love this collection

Also known as "Ms. Sold Out" as a recognition of how Met fans responded to seeing her on a billing, Tebaldi was and remains a splendid practitioner of the operatic arts.

I cannot find the set depicted in the first post at any of my CD sources. Might one be informed ...?

I did a "properties" look of Itullians image and discovered his secret site, HMV Japan

    http://www.hmv.co.jp/en/artist_Sopra...s-66CD_5907405

10/31/2014 release date, 66 Cds, price of 12,00 yen is about $118 USA dollars.
I will wait for Presto UK or Amazon USA release although sometimes HMV Japan sell things we cannot buy

    66 CDs????????????????????

Ms Sold Out is gonna make my SO a bit frosty when this monster set comes out in late October and the price appears on the CC bill. Oh well, there's something to be said for ... extended peace and quiet.

One of the most beautiful voices ever.
118 is a very reasonable price for such a nice set.
    It does say European release.

    Sixty-six Tebaldi cd's? On glorious-sounding Decca?

For a Fashionista-shopoholic-opera-addict its as elementary as breathing. . . sooner and not later. ;D

A posting like this gives me a bit of pause, to think of the felicity of time of birth of a singer, the recording technologies of the time, which are still very acceptable to us, and the fact we can hear these musicians long after they're gone.

We're all pretty damned lucky with the recordings legacy of all we have in general, the appearance of an available set of a Tibaldi, Regine Crespin, or any of the great singers, instrumentalists, hell, all those musicians involved.

With all that might not have been, the cost (money is money) is still a second consideration for us, because like Mt. Everest, some of these things need doing 'because its there!'

Tebaldi was my favorite Madama Butterfly and probably always will be.

I haven't seen anything about remastering either.
