Default Thirty years with this Irish Jig

About thirty years ago I was listening to a classical station on the radio> I always had my cassette ready to hit record if I heard something I liked. Well, this piece came up which I loved. However, I never heard the title of the piece. Once the internet appeared (search engines really), I've been constantly on the hunt for the title of this piece.

Can anyone help put a name to my jig?

Good identification! It sounded very british to me, I was convinced that it ought to be Ralph Vaughan Williams or some other british composer, similar in style. Silence is golden!
    I love you all.
