I am having trouble finding operas in this thread. I use the TC top 200 operas thread as a guide, but the listings in this thread don't seem to follow the same order, or some were taken out of order. Is there a different list I can use to refer back to this listing? Ideally have it up front with links to each one (lot of work though, so not expecting anyone to jump on that idea).

This thread was based on this older list of 272 operas also stickied in the opera sub-forum.

The 2015 list you link was an entirely new list of participants' favorite operas and recordings.

The preferred recordings for the top 100 of the 2015 list were compiled by Figleaf in this thread.

Much appreciated. I have saved the links in the correct associations for future reference.

We do a new one next year, let the poll's rolling first.

Which Poll is it? I may be able to give informed votes only for the main composers. Maybe I can be completely useful in 2022 when I have finished rating recordings for 20th century, French, Baroque Opera and Zarzuela.

No poll about opera's as of yet, SimonT, you and I have to talk about a new round later this year perhaps?

Please, if you remember, keep me informed. I want to get in at the beginning so I can vote all my favorite recordings.

I would like to include Itullian as quiz master if he wants to be so kind , he's kind of neutral, no offence intended.

He'd be a great one for the job! If he has the time and desire, that would be great.

I suggest that we would better make a new list of recommended operas first. New members, different tastes...

Hello Il_Penseroso, that is the whole plan, but we have to let the games( poles ) go first now, so later in the year perhaps.

Hope all is well with you.
