    Default Nereffid's A la carte poll #3

Part of a continuing series of polls, which simply asks:
Which of these works do you like?

The only connections between the selections are that they're all in my music library, and they were all composed about the same time.

Vote for as many as you like.
Options are available for voters who don't know any of the works, and those who know some but don't like any of them.

    Previous polls: 1, 2.

Well, I'm a sorry person; the first vote was that I don't like any of them. I'm not much into the piano works by these three and I dislike opera.

This is the first poll that has some composers I'm interested in I don't think I've heard any of the works except Brahms' FAE Sonata and Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody #6. I need to give both Brahms and Schumann's Piano Sonatas a try one day, as well as a few more of the Liszt works (but I have enough of his piano works already).

I´ve got the works, but the Liszt Sonata towers above all the rest, IMO.

Brahms No. 3 if only because I don't know the Liszt everyone seems to suddenly adore.

Liszt no. 6 is the only one out of the very few I know well from this list that I like.

    Definitely the two Verdi operas.

I hadn't heard two of the Schumanns and the Wieniawski. I voted for all the others though.

Is one of those the Marchenzahlungen? Cause that piece is incredible.

That´s a bit surprising, considering your otherwise comprehensive listening. The sonata is quite far from outgoing virtuoso style sometimes mainly associated with Liszt - it´s an ambitious, varied, "deep", existential and quite modern-sounding piece ...

This (well, most of the works for me). For me, the least interesting collection of the three. Please keep them coming.

I know it's a little rude to bump one's own thread, but this one has far fewer voters than the others.
Even "I don't know any" is a welcome response!
