Default Carl Nielsen (A la carte poll #53)

Part of a continuing series of polls, which simply asks:
Which of these works do you like?

My goal is to build a general picture of the musical interests on TC.

Please vote for *all* of the pieces you like.
Options are available for voters who don't know any of the works, and those who know some but don't like any of them. Even "I don't know any" is an interesting and welcome piece of information.

Thank you to everyone who's voted so far!
You can still vote in all the previous polls. For the full list, see the blog entry linked in my signature below.

A roughly chronological and, yes, selective list of works by Carl Nielsen.

Three other Nielsen pieces have already appeared in one of my polls, and you can vote for them there:
    Symphony no.3, op.27, 'Sinfonia espansiva' - poll #28
Violin concerto, op.33 - poll #33 (this poll could do with a few more votes, actually)
    Aladdin - poll #21

Any comments about how you can't believe I left out such-and-such a work that's the bestest Nielsen composition ever will, as usual, be dismissed.

Almost all. The Serenata in vano does not ring a bell, and like for many composers, his solo piano works have little effect on me.

The Serenata in Vano is a fine thing. I usually listen to it in the same session as the quintet for winds. The title has significance.

All of them except the Suite, which I can't remember. I find his piano music quite underrated.

I like all six of the symphonies. I haven't heard anything else yet, but intend to one of these days. This could be blasphemous but I think that I am much more interested in Nielsen than I am in Sibelius.

I love all his symphonies but need to hear more of him.

I just hate the "Flute" so its the only Nielsen work I discriminate!

Well I think that he will have a follow-up poll at some point then.

I have liked pretty much everything I have heard of Nielsen. Haven't
heard any of his piano works yet tho. But I look forward.

I liked this for the statement. But I LOVE it for the image. Seriously hilarious.

Edit: YES THE QUARTETS! WHERE ARE THEY?

I voted for all the symphonies listed and the Helios Overture. A few of the other pieces I see I have in my collection, but I just don't remember them.

I'm only familiar with his symphonies, and have liked or loved them all. I plan on seeking out more of his music later. Way too much music I'm trying to get to.
