Default Letters, larks, etc (A la carte poll #54)

Part of a continuing series of polls, which simply asks:
Which of these works do you like?

My goal is to build a general picture of the musical interests on TC.

Please vote for *all* of the pieces you like.
Options are available for voters who don't know any of the works, and those who know some but don't like any of them. Even "I don't know any" is an interesting and welcome piece of information.

Thank you to everyone who's voted so far!
You can still vote in all the previous polls. For the full list, see the blog entry linked in my signature below.

After a few weeks' hiatus, normal service resumes...

Future polls will probably be more-or-less random unless the urge takes me for a themed one.

    I have missed these polls.

True to form I voted for about half of them. I'd never heard of the Brahms piece. How could I have missed a Brahms piece? It must be an art song or something.

The Scriabin I selected because I seem to love his orchestral work even though his piano music leaves me scratching my head. Someday I'll become more familiar with the piano works, but on the surface I really dislike all the rubato.

Welcome back, good to see these polls appear again. I had to pick them all. The absolute #1 for me here is Mahler's Kindertotenlieder.

I picked all the ones I know. I don't know the Milhaud or the Penderecki.

I don't know the works by Penderecki, Milhaud and Tavener. I have voted all the rest, my favourite being Mahler.

Nice to see you back, Nereffid.
I voted for everything except the Bach, Brahms and Janacek, which I didn't know.

    Another poll revival.

The greater the number of voters in each poll, the more representative of TC as a whole, so a comparison with other polls is more valid.

Bach, Beethoven, Vaughan Williams, Mozart. I'd probably pick Penderecki - after all, it's sitting here staring at me, and Penderecki is so dog-gone famous - but truth be told, I never listen to it. The same with the Mahler; it's nice and all that, but I have four grandchildren, and I'm scared to listen to it.
