Part of a continuing series of polls, which simply asks:
Which of these works do you like?

My goal is to build a general picture of the musical interests on TC.

Please vote for *all* of the pieces you like.
Options are available for voters who don't know any of the works, and those who know some but don't like any of them. Even "I don't know any" is an interesting and welcome piece of information.

You can still vote in all the previous polls - please do! For the full list, see this blog entry.

Unusual but very eclectic poll choices :)

I selected the Elgar, the Khachaturian, the Mozart and the Weber.

For those who are curious about how it's a "random" selection:
I've put the full Talk Classical Project list in to a spreadsheet, and I use the random-number function to sort the entries into a random order. But to ensure there are some popular works in each poll, I've split the list into sections (e.g. positions 1-200, 201-400 etc) and taken works from each section.
A lot more straightforward than taking the time to come up with clever lists of psalm settings that most people aren't interested in!

I would have added Glazunov's Oriental Rhapsody & Dukas' Ariane et Barbe-Bleue (as well as Taktakishvili's "Mystri") to that otherwise enticing list. Otherwise, it's Khachaturian's "Spartacus", Medtner's Fairy-Tales, Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance Marches (all of them) and Bartok's "Bluebeard Castle."

I stopped myself form clicking the Elgar Pomp and Circumstance marches, Just because I've heard them and I don't dislike them doesn't mean I like them. I'm really quite ambivalent to ward that entire chorale-like or anthemic style.

The Mozart is the just about the only Mozart piece I liked when I didn't like Mozart -- if that makes any sense.

The Medtner takes the prize in this list for me. Szchercherazheerrarrazhade too.
