Really enjoy her singing on the Solti Rigoletto. My first experience of opera as a lad. A haunting portrayal even in spite of Solti's hard driven tempi and her partnership with Merrill is right up there with the best - even Callas / Gobbi. Just a pity Solti didn't give them more time for the music to breathe.

I especially like when these are "original jacket" CD sleeves with original album artwork, also note description says these are remastered 24/96 not just repackaged old versions.......

Many Moffo RCA operas have been recently released again remastered in new packaging........

And of course the priceless 10CD boxset of extended segments from Moffo's greatest opera roles in prime voice is essential

I instantly buy any of those 10CD boxsets I see of my favorite singers, very cheap price and intelligently selected extended segments of their most famous operas done when they were in best voice

One slight "problem" is you will hear things you love in the boxset and will make you search out and buy the complete opera, could be danger zone for your wallet........

The Lucia challenges for being the best ever recording of that opera imo.

I concur. I've only had it a couple of weeks and keep going back for another listen. Anna is certainly among my very favourite Lucias on disc.

I wonder if there is a way to get Amazon to pull up the 10CD boxsets enmass instead of having to shop individually.
