Default Will we ever see the rest of the Gergiev Ring?

    Hi All!

So sorry if this has been posted. Did a search and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know if we are ever going to see the final two installments of Gergiev's Ring? I'm dying to hear Stemme's Siegfried and Gotterdammerung. I ripped the Milan Ring to CD so I could hear her Siegfried Brunnhilde, but I'm curious if the rest of his Ring is ever going to see the light of day.

Haven't seen a sign of it.

Yeah, I don't think it's coming. It must not be selling well.

I was hoping for it too but I don't think it's going to happen

Really doubtful at this point. Gergiev originally announced that they were releasing the rest in 2014 and it's obviously well past that date. I suspect that the poorly received international live tour and the poor recordings he made for the Rheingold and Walkure sunk the project--why waste the likes of Kaufmann/Stemme/Pape/Kampe on a conductor who's so pedestrian in presenting the Ring?

If so, someone will post in in upcoming releases on the DVD and opera thread .
