To add: There is sound reasoning for not being able to delete ones own posts.

Several years back we had a member who would make known false statements about different things, then when another member challenged him bu quoting the post, he would go back and delete that post, and then claim "I never said that".

The particular member was famous for answering a question with "before I answer your question, let me ask you ... ... ... ", and would never answer the original question. He also supposedly wrote a book that he would never share who published it or where it was available.

So it was at that point that we turned off being able to delete posts by the general membership.

Thankfully it has not gotten as bad as I have seen elsewhere. There is one site where a member will quote you, but changes what you said to make it look stupid/funny/embarassing/etc. In that case you do want your original post to still be up unless it too was stupid and embarassing. They did however clue the reader in with the preface, "Fix'd it:" But still, I find it a poor practice.

All the enhancements, emojis, etc. have vanished within the last hour (?) Only font and size remain. Is it just me? I’m using my iPad and have been all morning.

Could you please tell me how to unsubscribe from a thread? I feel I used to know how to do this, but now for the life of me can't figure it out.

    Go to the Settings page

On the left hand column under "My Subscriptions", click on Subscriptions

You should see a list of subscribed threads including the one you wish to delete

The column at the far right is Notification

Select the box next to the type of notification you have for the desired thread (none, daily, weekly, etc.). There should be a check in the box then

In the pull down menu under the list of subscriptions, select Delete Subscription and then Go

Nothing out of the ordinary with the reply except 2 hyperlinks to legit web sites.

Definition of what you experience is: Exploit attempt denied, which means that an attempt to use this website was trying to gain access through a vulnerability. In other words, the Securi Firewall stopped an attempted illegal access.

    Questions for you:
Is this a 1st time occurrence? Has it happened again? Were you able to, eventually, submit the post you mentioned?

Sorry, I never checked back as I just gave up trying to make the post (after several tries that evening) and moved on.
This was the first and only time this has happened.
I thought passing on the information might be relevant.
My apologies if this wasted any time on your part.....not my intention.

Oh, no ... no apology necessary. We appreciate information like this. It's been passed on to the site owner.

I see all the images with Chrome.
As for the links, you have the Rigoletto twice with Schipa and I don't see a link for the Donizetti in post #12.

The first Schipa link is for the actual performance on YouTube - the second "link" is actually the missing photo - click on it and it will appear.

The Donizetti link (to the performance) is right under the title and the words (Recorded 1913).

Even with Chrome you're not actually seeing all the images - I used it and the same thing happens - the images make random appearances - I'm certain that the two posts (it only happens on posts 12 and 13) have broken links within them that occurred when the server kept crashing over the course of those two days.'

    Thanks for trying -
