    What's the music in this video, if it actually is a famous piece of music. It could just be written for this thing but I think I recognise it from other places.

    Took me a while to find this....

    It's by the living Greek composer Vangelis (composer of Chariots of Fire and the music from the Carl Sagan series Cosmos). The piece is called "Light and Shadow," from the soundtrack to 1492: Conquest of Paradise. It also bears a superficial resemblence to the "Cold Genius" from Act 3 of Henry Purcell's opera King Arthur.
