    Unsuk is the lifeline!
I also listened to some Bussotti work not long ago.

    Ness, Hakola, Thommessen, and Chin.
I've heard Hind as a pianist but not a composer.

This is embarrassing. I struck out. I do not know any of them.

This is good. More new composers.

Well, I'm nearly certain I've heard something by Chin. Just don't remember what...

I've also listened to Pohjola's Daughter (Sibelius), and a bunch of stuff by Hummel (wrong one though), but in all seriousness, I don't think I've ever heard of any of the other composers listed.

    Unsuk Chin is a gimme!

I've heard of a Zimmermann, just not that Zimmermann.

I have not heard of Pohjola, but am familiar with his daughter.

Thumbs up for the thread idea - a good one.

    Nilsson, Chin, Thommesen, Bussotti ...

It turns out that I have Zimmermann´s Ländler-Topographien for orchestra too, but it must have been years since I heard it ... though I do have a positive, however much too vague idea associated with it.

Walter Zimmermann's works are very good. Delicate, sensible, and the folk elements make it accessible. He was influenced by New York school composers. He published interviews with American composers and edited Morton Feldman's essays.
