Wow, I've heard of at least 5 composers on this poll! Unfortunately, I only definitively know that I've listened to Magnus Lindberg, and he's one of my favorites. I may have heard stuff by Finnissy, Van Der Aa, Dusapin, and Manoury, but I don't remember well enough to say with certainty, so I guess I'm only voting for 1 composer here.

I recorded a majestic 8 this time. Some solid big hitters here and a crazy chap in Stefan Prins

Random Fact: Before this poll, 112 composers have been polled. Of those 112 composers, the following 5 were known to more than 50% of voters:

    Brian Ferneyhough
    Kalevi Aho
    Leif Segerstam
    Thomas Adès
    Unsuk Chin

Of the next 9 polls I've already generated, each poll seems to have at least one (Lindberg in this one, for instance) that I expect to do similarly well, but I could be wrong in a couple of cases. I will tell you, for instance, that Adams and Reich landed in the same poll, and I expect a lot of high fives and whatnot when the time comes.

I've not heard any of them.

Four from me, although they are pretty strong yesses. I was trying to think of my favorite work from each...

    Lindberg (Kraft)
    Dusapin (String Quartet 6)
    Finnissy (English Country Tunes)
    Manoury (Sound and Fury)

    Wow! I got 7! A f--king record!!!

Joshua Fineberg, Magnus Lindberg, Michael Finnisy, Michael van der Aa, Pascal Dusapin, Phillipe Manoury, and Stefano Gervasoni.

    I normally get only 1 or 2!

I highly recommend Phillipe Manoury; there's a lot of his music on youtube.

Manoury is one of those guys, much like G.F. Haas, with some really great odds and ends recorded... and yet, based on what's on youtube, his official recordings have a lot of catch-up to do. I'm a big fan. Up there with Finnissy and Dusapin in my book.

Only Lindberg for me. I find his music a little frenetic for my tastes, though it's not without its moments.

Lindberg is the only one on the list for me, and I haven't heard much of him---and of what I have heard, I only like the Violin Concerto. Batiashvili recorded it as coupling for her Sibelius VC, and on hearing the CD, the Lindberg impressed me far more.

Where's the other Lindberg? Composer of a nice flute concerto, probably the best every authored by a professional trombonist.
