Please continue to read first names! The more well-known Turina is long gone, and there's a couple of Sandströms as well!

I voted "I Have Not Heard Music By Any Of These Composers". I think I may have came across Jan Sandström before, not sure.

Bernhard Gander is kind of a punk. His music is pretty cool:

Rueda writes what I would class as accessible music. Sandstrom writes quite silly music (Motorbike Concerto for Trombone etc)

Kurtag and Rhim for me. Already following the trend. I enjoy both very much, Kurtag perhaps a bit more.

Such a relentlessly amazing piece of music. I'm glad others have heard it.

Kurtag, Sandström, Kelterborn, Rihm - all among the more well-known fellows.

That Sandströms is the guy of the Motorbike Concerto, isn't he? In that case 3 for me (with Kurtág and Rihm). Who is the other Sandströms?

You are right, sorry. I was thinking of Sven-David Sandström, by far the most well-known Sandström.

Well in that case I really have to fill a gap! I'm quite sure I've never heard of Sven-David Sandström.
    Any recommended works/recordings?

    http://svendavidsandstrom.com/

His Requiem won the Nordic Council Music Award. He has also written a big High Mass, and a huge amount of other works.

The piano concerto, as his overall style, is very approachable and reo-romantic and coupled with a fine one by Hammerth. But the concerto isn´t a major work, IMO.

You can strike out one vote for Turina.... I got them mixed up. Only Rihm and Kurtag for me then.
